1. Definitions

• "Services" — watch repair, battery replacement, mechanical servicing, and overhaul work provided by Rung Watchworks.
• "We / Us / Our" — Rung Watchworks, operating from 23/9 Thawewong Road, Patong, Kathu, Phuket 83150, Thailand.
• "You / Client" — any person using this website or bringing a watch to the workshop.
• "Watch" — any timepiece, movement, or related component left with us for service.
• "Agreement" — these terms together with any written service summary or quote provided to you.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By leaving a watch with us or submitting the website contact form, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over, that you have the legal authority to authorise service work on the watch in question, and that you accept these terms.

If you are acting on behalf of another person (for example, arranging service for a gift or a family member's watch), you confirm that you have their authority to do so.

3. Service Description and Availability

We offer three service tiers: Daily Watch Service (฿1,400), Full Service and Accuracy Check (฿4,200), and Legacy Overhaul (from ฿9,400). Prices are in Thai Baht. Services are available at the workshop address. We may decline to service a watch if we determine the work is outside our competence or if we cannot source appropriate parts.

Workshop availability is subject to current workload. We will advise realistic timelines at intake.

4. Service Process and Scope

Before undertaking full service or overhaul work, we will provide a written summary of findings and proposed scope. No chargeable work will begin until this is agreed. For Daily Watch Service (battery, strap, clean), verbal confirmation at intake is sufficient.

Any change to agreed scope — including discovery of additional faults during work — will be communicated to you before we proceed. You retain the right to decline additional work at any stage.

Parts replaced during service become the property of Rung Watchworks unless you specifically request their return at intake.

5. Payment

Payment is due on collection of the watch. We accept cash in Thai Baht and major bank transfers. Specific card payment availability can be confirmed at the workshop. We do not store payment card details.

Watches not collected within 60 days of completion, and after reasonable contact attempts by us, may be subject to storage charges. We will not dispose of uncollected watches without a minimum of 90 days' notice by registered post to the address on file.

6. Care of Watches in Our Custody

We take reasonable care of all watches left with us. Watches are stored securely overnight. We record the condition of each watch at intake. In the unlikely event of loss or damage caused by our negligence, our liability is limited to the reasonable cost of restoring the watch to its condition at intake, up to a maximum of five times the agreed service fee.

We are not liable for pre-existing faults, for damage resulting from unusual fragility of aged components not foreseeable on inspection, or for normal wear that becomes more apparent after cleaning.

7. Disclaimers

Watch servicing is not an exact science and results vary by movement condition, age, and history. We aim for accurate timekeeping results and describe realistic outcomes at intake. We do not state specific timekeeping tolerances as an outcome of service unless confirmed in writing for a particular job.

This website and its content are provided for information purposes. We aim to keep information accurate but do not warrant its completeness.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from service work or website use.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, and layout — is owned by or licensed to Rung Watchworks. You may view the content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt it without our prior written consent.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from these terms or from services provided will first be addressed through direct discussion between the parties. We aim to resolve all concerns promptly and fairly.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Phuket Province, Thailand.

11. General Provisions

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Rung Watchworks in relation to service work, supplemented by any written service summary provided for a specific job.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date. For service work already in progress, the terms at the time of intake apply.
